Woman Found Dead Hours After Snapchat Shows Boyfriend Pointing Gun At Her
A woman was found dead of a gunshot wound just hours after posting an image to social media of her boyfriend pointing a gun at her, according to authorities.
Stephanie Hernandez, a mother of two, was found in her ransacked home at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday night in North Little Rock, Arkansas. According to North Little Rock Police, Hernandez had a single gunshot wound on the side of her head.
This came just hours after Hernandez posted a selfie to the social networking app, Snapchat, of her boyfriend, Rafael Gonzalez, pointing a gun at the back of her head.
The image was captioned “Strap chat?” “Strap” being slang for gun.
Gonzalez, 20, is now in police custody on suspicion of the murder.
Hernandez’s children were reportedly staying with relatives when the alleged murder took place.
According to an arrest affidavit, a friend claimed Gonzalez “accidentally shot” his girlfriend and that he “routinely plays around with a pistol.”
“It’s hurting. It’s hurting all of us,” Hernandez’s uncle Rey Hernandez told ArkansasMatters.com. “We need closure and we don’t know what’s going on. She left two beautiful daughters behind and now they won’t see her.”
Gonzales has reportedly pleaded not guilty to murder. He should also plead not guilty to being a responsible gun owner. Idiot.
