The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden welcomed a new animal to their family last Wednesday. A 6-foot-tall 100-pound giraffe was born and has recently begun learning how to walk.
The adorable and lanky creature was born to first time mother Cece in a quick 30-minute labor.
“Cece gave us a good indication that something was happening when she refused to leave her stall to go outside this morning,” the curator of mammals at the Cincinnati Zoo, Christina Gorsuch, explained.
The little giraffe has yet to be named, but she is already causing a stir on social media. The internet is loving the heart-shaped spot on her shoulder and the videos of her learning how to walk. Check it out below.

According to the zoo, baby giraffes normally learn how to walk within the hour that they are born. However, they are normally a little shaky on their feet. The video of the baby girl walking was taken when she was just an hour old.
