Vice President Joe Biden is sure going out of the White House with a bang!
On Monday, Biden officiated a wedding between Brian Mosteller and Joe Mahshie, two White House staff members. Biden received a temporary certification from the District of Colombia to perform the ceremony.
Mosteller works in the White House as the director of Oval Office operations for Obama and Mahshie is the First Lady’s trip coordinator.
Biden tweeted out a photo from the ceremony captioning it, “Proud to marry Brian and Joe at my house. Couldn’t be happier, two longtime White House staffers, two great guys.”

The Vice President has always been very vocal about his support for same-sex marriage, even before he was in the White House.
“It’s the civil rights of our day. It’s the issue of our day,” Biden has said about the social issue.
