Stephen Colbert is already making headlines at the Republican National Convention.
Colbert rushed the stage on Sunday, one day before the official start to the RNC, dressed as Caesar Flickerman from The Hunger Games. In character as Flickerman, Colbert addressed the audience by launching the the “2016 Republican National Hungry For Power Games.”
“[Trump] has formed an alliance with Indiana governor Mike Pence,” Colbert said in character before pausing. “Sorry, I blacked out there for a moment.”
He continued as he banged his gavel, “So it is my honor to hereby launch and begin the 2016 Republican National Hungry for Power Games!”
A security guard quickly approached Colbert on stage and asked him to leave, to which he replied, “Look, I know I’m not supposed to be up here, but let’s be honest, neither is Donald Trump.”
The video of Colbert’s antics were posted on YouTube, where it has already been viewed over 523,000 times (at time of publication).
Before making his announcement on stage, Colbert posted a photo on Twitter mocking his amount of power at the convention.

Colbert dressing as Flickerman is part of a recurring sketch on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert called “The Hungry For Power Games,” where Colbert talks about the crazy election cycle with a Hunger Games twist.
Colbert will be airing a special segment of his show with Jon Stewart during the convention and is expected to do the same during the Democratic National Convention.
May the odds be ever in your favor, America!
