Remember that dad who went viral for venting about having his kid home during the holidays? Penn and Kim Holderness might top it — and in song — with their parody music video, “Shoes Yourself.” It is a remake of “Lose Yourself” by Eminem, but instead, they lament their son’s improper dressing for the chilly outdoors.
This scenario will be all too familiar for you parents out there, and all too hilarious to any viewer out there. After all, dressing warmly for the winter is important.
“His coat is heavy, but it’s on the floor with teddy,” raps the father. “There’s omelette on his sweater already, that’s upsetting.”
All the while, mom is chasing their son around with winter clothes to replace his summer clothes.
“We’re nervous cause on the surface he looks calm and ready to walk but he keeps forgetting it’s cold out.”
Watch this:
The family writes, “This is a battle that we go through with our kids every. single. snow day.”
If you’re taking care of a little bundle of joy, do you too experience this daily struggle? And is it as funny and catchy? Let us know!
