Forget the Flowers! Woman Uses Rescue Puppies as Bouquets During Her Wedding
No flowers needed here!
After seeing a bride replace flower bouquets with rescue puppies during her wedding, Samantha Clark knew she wanted to do the exact same thing. Clark first saw the idea when she was browsing on Pinterest.
“I originally wanted to use my own three dogs but decided that they already have love and a home, so I decided I wanted to try to help rescue dogs,” Clark told Inside Edition.
Clark then got in touch with A Heinz57 Pet Rescue and Transport, her local animal shelter, and explained what she wanted to do. Luckily, they had a few puppies on site who were happy to be in the wedding.
The bridesmaids carried the 7-week-old pups down the aisle during the wedding. After the ceremony, the bridal party took a bunch of photos with the puppies, making sure to capture the cuteness.
“They were a huge hit. The bridesmaids were ecstatic to hold them down the aisle. It all flowed very perfectly,” Clark said to Inside Edition. “They were the best, well-behaved puppies I’ve dealt with.”
To make sure the puppies found forever homes at the wedding, Clark provided a book about the rescue puppies. Each puppy had a page of information, including pictures and short biography.
Clark is a longtime animal lover, so it was only fitting that she had puppies at her wedding.
“The puppies were adorable. … She is such a dog lover, and to incorporate these puppies was so Sam,” Sarah Olson, Clark’s stepmother, told Inside Edition.
Since the wedding, many people have reached out to the shelter to find out adoption details. Thanks to Clark, it seems that these puppies will have no problem finding forever homes.
