A dog from Argentina is being called a hero after an innocent game of fetch turned into a successful rescue mission.
In a now viral video posted on YouTube, Rafael Franciulli and his dogs are seen playing fetch. The video shows the black Labrador going to retrieve a stick in the river. Suddenly, the current becomes very strong and sucks the dog into the rapids.
Luckily, the yellow lab reacted fast when he saw that his fellow dog was in trouble. The yellow lab quickly used his instincts and was able to save the black lab by securing the stick in his mouth, pulling the other dog back up and out of the water.
The video has been viewed more than 400,00 times.

“The dogs showed here were not injured in anyway!!! They play always in water and they know really good this part of the river,” Franciulli wrote on YouTube.
While most people believe that dogs are born with the innate ability to swim, that isn’t necessary the case. According to Animal Planet, “canines generally fall into one of three categories: There are those that can swim, those that can be taught to swim and those that should steer clear of all aqueous environments.”
Thankfully, both labs got out of the water safe and sound!
