When 3-year-old Madison had to make a trip to the hospital, she was understandably upset. But a kind group of nurses had just the remedy to help cheer little Madison up.
Madison Austin went to the hospital with the flu two weeks ago. According to Madison’s mom, Krista Lynn Austin, the young girl has “been obsessed with the hokey pokey lately.”
While at the hospital, Madison had a strange request. Instead of cough medicine or an extra pillow, she wanted the “Hokey Pokey.”
Naturally, the whole staff jumped in to perform their own nurses’ ‘hokey pokey.’
The video has since become a certified viral hit. Austin’s original post has been viewed over 130,000 times and drew the attention of the Today show, Ellen DeGeneres, and other major news outlets.
These nurses are proving that being a caretaker isn’t just about giving out pills and that a lot of it is just having a big heart. That’s apparently what it’s all about.
