Holy concept car, Batman. That’s what new car company, Faraday Future, hopes visitors to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas are thinking.
Yesterday, the company unveiled their FFZERO1 Concept, a fully-electric vehicle that will offer smart and seamless connectivity to the outside world. Faraday Future is positioning their concept car (and future cars) as a competitor to Tesla, who thus far has cornered the energy innovation marketplace.
Faraday Future designed the car with the user in mind, wanting the car to almost anticipate the driver’s needs and wants with access to live images and a smartphone-integrated steering wheel. But it is the outside of the car that is catching people’s attention. It strongly resembles the Batmobile. Yes, the car that fictional superhero Batman drives.

About the exterior design, Faraday Future said, “Sculpted by aerodynamics for driving performance and efficiency, the smooth, flowing surfaces of the FFZERO1 Concept morph from one unique element to another, creating volumes that tightly embrace the driver—ultimately forming an ideal environment for high performance operation.” But most people just see the Batmobile.
The car is still just a concept so don’t expect to see them on the road any time soon. And with all the fancy gadgets and gizmos, the cost of the FFZERO1 would be premium. Faraday Future says a production vehicle, such as a sedan or SUV, is still a few years off, especially since the company is just breaking ground on their first manufacturing plant in Las Vegas.

Nick Sampson, senior vice president of research and development, and product development, claims it will take less time for Faraday Future’s production cars to hit the marketplace than the nine years it took Elon Musk and Tesla. Looks like the friendly competition has begun.
