Is This Mysterious Video of the Loch Ness Monster’s Alaskan Cousin?

Has the Loch Ness Monster moved to Alaska?
Craig McCaa, of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, was shooting video from an elevated bridge in Fairbanks, Alaska earlier this month when the camera caught movement in the Chena River. The unidentified object looked to be near 15-feet long, and was floating along under the water’s surface.
Many have speculated that the footage shows a real life sea monster, perhaps a heretofore-undiscovered prehistoric beast. McCaa himself is a bit more pragmatic.
“I initially thought, and several people thought, it could be some rope that snagged on the bottom of the river with chunks of ice. Other people have mentioned everything from sea monster to giant sturgeon,” he told the Alaska Dispatch News.
