If typical planting isn’t your thing you might want to listen up. This witty take on the classic hanging plant could change all of your planting needs!
Designer Hooman Koliji has created a new take on the classic hanging plant with Livi, “a colorful ‘creature’ that doubles as a quirky planter that can adhere to nearly any vertical surface,” shared My Modern Met.
Livi is made from 3D printing and different recycled material. The contraption to hold plants comes in several bold colors and has an “insect” look to it. The legs of the plant-holder use a micro-suction cup, creating a vacuum when pressed against a smooth surface. The suction cups allow the holder to perfectly stick on a window, the best place for plants to get the nutrients and sunlight they need.
Koliji is working with his team to get his unusual plant-holder in as many households as possible using Kickstarter to raise money.
According to the campaign, Livi is hoping to reinvent the typical house plant making it “possible to grow our favorite plants virtually everywhere.” The device could be used for planting decorations, to grow herbs, or just as a home for your favorite succulent.
The Kickstarter has currently raised over $17,000, hoping to reach a final goal of $23,500.
