Marvel Taps All Female Directors for ‘Jessica Jones’ Season Two
Marvel Studios bosses are making a big girl power statement by announcing the directors of the upcoming second season of hit Netflix show Jessica Jones will all be women.
After DC Comics/Warner Brothers made Patty Jenkins the first female to direct a comic book superhero movie by handing her the company’s Wonder Woman franchise, bosses at Marvel have made small screen history as fans anticipate the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones.
Executive Producer Melissa Rosenberg reveals she and her associates made a conscious decision to hire the best women directors for the second season of the action drama, and then took it a stage further and decided the entire run should be man-free, according to Variety.
