If you’ve thought Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the rest of The Avengers movies have been magical cinematic experiences, have we got a surprise for you.
On Tuesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host welcomed star Benedict Cumberbatch to unveil Disney and Marvel Entertainment’s next hero to join the Avengers universe, Doctor Strange.
Watch the first teaser trailer now:
About the movie, from Marvel.com:
“In Doctor Strange, famous neurosurgeon Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) suffers career-ending injuries in a devastating car crash. Seeking help in the furthest reaches of the world, Strange uncovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions!”
In 2014, when Marvel first announced the film, Marvel Entertainment president Kevin Feige said of Doctor Strange, “The idea of this film is to open up a whole new corner of the cinematic universe. We want to enter, through Strange, the world of parallel dimensions.”
Joining Cumberbatch will be Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton to round out the all-star cast.
Accompanying the trailer release, Marvel on Tuesday revealed the first official poster for Doctor Strange on their Facebook page.
Doctor Strange will look to bewitch the box office when it hits theaters Nov. 4, 2016.
