Makelle Throckmorton Ahlin, a 27-year-old mother of two, shared a sonogram of her third child flashing the infamous devil horns — also referred to as the rock n’ roll sign — in the womb during a scan.
(And we thought that sonogram showing identical twins cuddling adorably in the womb was amazing!)
“Well it’s official our kids are the coolest even before they enter the world…” wrote on Facebook. According to The Kansas City Star, the father (Jared, 30) noticed it and told the sonogram technician, “Wait! Go back! Go back! I want to see that again.”
And it’s totally real, despite many people believing Photoshop was used. The technician, Joni Leamaster Miller, witnessed the story air on the local news and confirmed it.
“Their baby was extra ‘helpful’ that night and let us take quite a few cute photos, the ‘rock on’ sign being one of them,” Miller told Your Daily Dish, noting how fun the ultrasound was, and how cute the couple was.
“I actually see babies do funny things all the time. Suck their thumb, peace signs, hang loose, flip me off, loser signs… you name it, we have seen it!”
This baby in particular’s enthusiasm for rock n’ roll isn’t too odd. Ahlin revealed to The Kansas City Star that she would listen to tunes and “the baby would go crazy and start kicking.”
Unfortunately, the parents aren’t too big on the heavy stuff, but rather country music and some Mumford & Sons.
“We’re not much of a rocker family,” Ahli said to The Kansas City Star.
“That’s All Right Mama,” because rocker parents or not, this rocker baby will surely get a “Whole Lotta Love” when he/she (gender unknown at the moment) is born…“Born to Be Wild,” that is!
Additionally, Ahli told Your Daily Dish they’re excited about and love everyone sharing their story – which they plan to share with the baby once it’s older!
“Our baby has already made a “mark” in this world,” she said. “You know that dreaded question you always always seem to get asked in school, ‘Tell us one cool fact about yourself?’ Well I think he/she has that covered!”
Please share this heartwarming story with your family and friends and — most importantly — rock on!
