This 2-year-old girl “knows when to get nasty.”
Lydia Faith from Gainesville, Florida spoke out against the mother of a boy who pushed her daughter on the playground, just after the young girl stood up to the bully.
The mother shared the encounter on Wednesday, November 30 in a private Facebook group called Pantsuit Nation and it went viral.
According to the post, Faith’s daughter was shoved by a boy on the playground. The boy’s mother defended the action by saying, “It’s because he likes you.”
In response to this, the assertive little girl said, “He needs to keep his hands to himself or he needs to go away. I said no. If he touches me again I’ll have to kick his face.”
The woman was stunned and advised Faith’s daughter that kicking isn’t nice but Faith, loudly, had her daughter’s back.
“To those of you who don’t understand that kicking someone after they’ve not respected your body or personal space IS NOT ASSAULT: SELF DEFENSE IS NOT ASSAULT,” Faith wrote in a follow-up post.
Many members of the group supported Faith’s words, trending #NastyWomanInTraining, even calling her daughter a “badass” and collectively denouncing the tradition that if a boy hits you, then he likes you.
To those who disagree, Faith says, “Well, stay off our playground.”
