A Little League World Series game turned into an emotional moment between father and son this past week.
The tournament’s consolation game between Italy and Bend, Oregon saw the latter team holding a 6-0 advantage. However, Oregon pitcher Isaiah Jenson began struggling even with the big lead. The team’s pitching coach, who also happened to be Isaiah’s father Joel Jensen, came out to speak to his son, which is where things took an emotional turn.

As seen in the video above, when Jensen got to the mound he told his son, “Hey, I just came out to tell you how much I love you, as a Dad and a player, ok?” From there, he told him he was doing “awesome” and left his son with the message, “Hey, cheer up, have some fun, come right after him, let’s go.”
The elder Jensen’s words seem to have worked, as his son finished the game which Oregon won 6-2.
