Being deaf was not going to stop Kevin Nadrowski from teaching his daughter some classic children songs.
In a super adorable video, Nadrowski can be seen teaching his daughter, who is also deaf, a song in sign language. In the delightful moment, Nadrowski and his daughter sign along to “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
Nadrowski lost his hearing when he was just 11 months old. His family did not have the adequate resources to help him when growing up, which hindered many of his childhood experiences.
“They had no clue what to do with me,” Nadrowski told Today “I was never exposed to experiencing what my daughter did.”
After getting left on the sidelines and missing out, Nadrowski is making sure his daughter’s life is different. Nadrowski makes sure to incorporate sign language into her daily routine.
“I want her to know that her being deaf doesn’t mean she can’t sing or enjoy listening to songs,” Nadrowski told Today. “As of right now, we are trying to read books as much as we can.”
Nadrowski wanted to share the video to show that being deaf doesn’t make you any different.
“Hearing status doesn’t make you a better person, your humanity does,” Nadrowski told Today.
This isn’t the first video Nadrowski has shared of his adorable daughter. In a video posted last October, the duo is seen going on several adventures including a trip to the zoo and a visit to the beach.
“Being a father is the most exciting, amazing thing that ever happened to me,” Nadrowski wrote on YouTube.
From the looks of it, it doesn’t seem like anything is going to stop these two!
