The cast of Warner Brothers upcoming Justice League film have shown their true super-heroic colors in a new YouTube video in support of the Native Americans protesting the building of a crude oil pipeline through their lands.
Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), and Ezra Miller (Flash) join co-star Jason Momoa (Aquaman) in the short clip to promote the Rezpect Our Water campaign.
The campaign, which Momoa has vocally supported in the past, was formed by a group of Native Americans who are protesting the construction of the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline. The activists assert that the pipeline could lead to contaminated drinking water, as well as damage the sacred lands of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
The video finds the cast endorsing the initiative, as well as including a link to a Change.org petition dedicated to stopping the pipeline’s construction.
As of press time, the petition has over 260,ooo signatures, close to their 300,000 goal.
The League stars are the latest celebrities to promote the cause, joining Shailene Woodley, Mark Ruffalo, Rosario Dawson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and others.
