Talk about a spooky fishing trip!
Jessica Ogletree posted a photo on Facebook showing some eerie details from a recent fishing trip her kids took with their grandparents. Ogletree’s 13-year-old daughter, Haley, was taking some pictures with her 12-year-old brother, Kolton, in the back of their truck and didn’t think much of it.
However, on the way back home, they noticed a mysterious man showing up in the background of one of the pictures.
“She was going through the pictures on the way and she came across that one and freaked out,” Ogletree told InsideEdition.com. “My daughter sent it to me. At first I am looking at it thinking, ‘Who is this?’ She called me. Then she started crying and she was really upset about it.”
Ogletree then posted the photo on Facebook to share with her friends to see what they thought. She also explained that no one else was with them at the pond except for their grandparents.
“Ya’ll this gentleman was NOT with them today and there was no one else at these back ponds where they were fishing!” Ogletree wrote on Facebook. “The only people there today were Haley, Kolton, and their grandparents Dennis and Vera Baldree.”
Instead of being scared by the image, Ogletree saw the humor around it.
“I personally think it’s pretty cool because today is Kolton’s birthday and he caught the biggest fish he’s ever caught! It looks like the man is happy for him!” Ogletree wrote on Facebook.
The photo has caused quite the discussion on Facebook in the comment section. Many people have been writing that it is simply a reflection, while others are convinced that it is definitely a ghost.
“It’s a reflection off the rear glass. The man is in front of the vehicle,” one user wrote.
“Think that’s awesome. Clearly an apparition. You can clearly see through the man to the right of the child and I agree he does look happy,” another user shared.
While there may be some people out there who are super skeptical about the picture, Ogletree confirms it is definitely real.
“I believe everyone has a right to their own opinions,” Ogletree told Your Daily Dish. “I don’t mind when people say it’s fake or photoshopped (even though it’s not). It doesn’t bother me.”
Ogletree’s post has even inspired a few paranormal researchers to examine the photo.
“I’ve had quite a few paranormal researchers and also photoshop experts weigh in on the comments stating that it is indeed real,” Ogletree told Your Daily Dish.
