Deadpool may be breaking box office records left and right, however James Corden still felt the film was missing something.

When Ryan Reynolds stopped by The Late Late Show on Thursday, Corden pitched to the actor that Deadpool would be even better if the R-rated superhero had a sidekick. And in typical Corden fashion, Corden suggested himself for the part.

Reynolds immediately thought the idea was terrible, yet he let Corden humor him and propose some ideas, despite the fact that the “Merc with a Mouth” has never had a sidekick.

Corden’s first pitch was “Iceman,” which featured an iffy catch phrase and an ill-fitting costume. Strawberry Short Fuse was up next, however the costume and the name really didn’t really seem to give off a threatening vibe. Other unsuccessful sidekick personalities included a clam costume, an unaggressive Potato Man, an interesting “Rave-y Crockett,” and a bizarre Magic Clown.

Sadly, Reynolds quickly dismissed all of Corden’s ideas. However, Reynolds and Corden were able to come to a compromise, creating what will sure be the next box office hit: Double Deapool.

The clip shows the duo on a chase for a bad guy for the potential sequel. However, Corden seems to be worried about a more pressing issue.

“How do you go to the bathroom in this thing?” Corden asked.

“Oh, you just go,” answered Reynolds.

Check out the beginning of this beautiful friendship and all of Corden’s sidekick ideas below.
