Internet Sensation Sam Gordon Inspires Girls To Play Football

Back in 2012, a highlight video of Utah PeeWee Football Player Sam Gordon went viral as she made a mockery of defenders as she flew past them on the field.

Yes, for those who are not aware, Sam Gordon is actually a young girl. A young girl who tore up the stat sheets on what was considered an all-boys football league.

Women have been no strangers to breaking barriers in sports, long thought of as a “boys club,” and Gordon is the latest trailblazer to make her mark.

Most recently, the multi-sport star, now 13 years old, continues her revolutionary ways, this time inspiring girls to join her cause, a cause that will hopefully one day see women have a National Football League to call their own, or maybe just play in the NFL alongside men.
