IKEA Is Finally Making Furniture for Pets

Thanks to IKEA, your pet’s furniture is about to go up a notch.

IKEA has just introduced a brand new line of furniture exclusively for pets. The catalogue of furniture includes several types of luxurious dog beds and different scratching mats for cats. The collection is currently being tested out in five different countries before it is put in every store.

The collection, titled Lurvig, translates to “hairy” or “shaggy” in Swedish.

The line was created by “pet-loving designers,” with guidance from veterinarians. The creators made sure that the pets’ best interests were in mind when creating the stylish furniture.

The furniture will not break the bank, either. Just like typical IKEA furniture, the collection is very affordable. The most expensive item in the collection is the padded cat house, which costs $54.

Along with the furniture, IKEA will also sell pet accessories including brushes, bowls, and leashes.

Naturally, people were pretty excited about the new products and jumped on social media to share their purchases.

The collection is currently available in the United States, Canada, Japan, France, and Portugal. It is expected to become available in the United Kingdom starting in early 2018.
