Historians Claim Hitler Had ‘Deformed Penis’
The authors of a new book on Adolf Hitler claim that the German leader suffered from abnormalities in his genitals, Britain’s the Telegraph reported on Monday.
According to historians Jonathan Mayo and Emma Craigie, authors of the book Hitler’s Last Day: Minute by Minute, recently uncovered medical records indicate that the former Nazi leader suffered from a medical condition known as hypospadias which left him with an abnormal sexual organ.
The discovery comes on the heels of previously discovered medical records that verified the urban legend, made famous by a wartime song sung by British soldiers, that Hitler only had one testicle. According to prison records from 1923, he suffered from cryptorchidism – when a testicle fails to properly descend – on his right side.
Mayo and Craigie write that “Hitler himself is believed to have had two forms of genital abnormality: an undescended testicle and a rare condition called penile hypospadias in which the urethra opens on the underside of the penis.”
According to the book, Theodor Morell, Hitler’s personal physician, was the first to have diagnosed the hypospadias and prescribed a plethora of drugs and hormones to try and improve the fuhrer’s resultant weak sex drive. This would seemingly lend credence to rumors long-whispered by some that Hitler had little to no interest in sexual activity, even with long-term mistress Eva Braun.
The news of Hitler’s deformity has lead some reports on the book to claim that Hitler had a “micro-penis.”
However, in an email interview with U.K. publication the Independent, Craigie calls such speculation “a leap” and states that the authors saw no evidence that Hitler suffered from anything other than general hypospadias
