Along with the gunshot wounds, Mintz broke both legs, according to his cousin, Derek Bourgeois.
According to reports, Mintz will have a long recovery, but he is expected to survive.

Correction: Initial reports indicated Mintz was shot five times. New reports confirm doctors treated Mintz for seven gunshot wounds and two broken legs.
