George Zimmerman Involved in ANOTHER Shooting
George Zimmerman is back in the headlines today! Zimmerman has been involved in yet ANOTHER shooting incident, only this time Zimmerman wasn’t the one who pulled the trigger. Zimmerman was shot at but not seriously hurt, in what local officials are referring to as a “road rage incident,” in Lake Mary, FL, Monday afternoon. Zimmerman, who has already been released from the hospital, suffered minor injuries from being hit in the face by glass and debris as a bullet went through the front passenger window of his car while he was driving.
According to Zimmerman’s lawyer and police, it appears that the person who shot at Mr. Zimmerman might not be a stranger to him, and that the two may have had multiple altercations, including one several months ago.
Zimmerman just can’t seem to stay out of the news these days. After being acquitted in the murder trial of Trayvon Martin back in 2013, Zimmerman has had numerous run-ins with the law. Just after the acquittal, Zimmerman was arrested on aggravated assault and domestic violence battery, after authorities were called to the home of his then girlfriend after an apparent fight. Zimmerman escaped being prosecuted after the woman asked that charges be dropped. In September of 2014, a driver claimed Zimmerman threatened to kill him while on the road. And most recently, in January, Zimmerman was arrested on yet another domestic violence complaint, but again, charges were eventually dropped as his girlfriend recanted her claim.
