Four Horsemen Arrive in New ‘X-men: Apocalypse’ Poster
Is it the end times for the X-Men? According to a new poster for the highly anticipated sequel, “Revelations” is upon us.
On Tuesday, 20th Century Fox unveiled the newest look at the deadly threat facing the X-Men: the “four horsemen” of Apocalypse (Oscar Issac), an ancient mutant who has come to put mutants in their rightful place as rulers of the planet.
The new poster puts Magento (Michael Fassbender) front and center as one of Apocalypse’s henchmen, along with Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), and Angel (Ben Hardy).
The film will see returning stars Jennifer Lawrence (Raven/Mystique), James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), and Nicholas Hoult (Beast) along with the rest of the X-Men battle it out with the ancient mutant and his horsemen for the fate of mankind.
From 20th Century Fox:
“Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”
X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27.
