When a 2-year-old boy met Mr. Reagan, the Australian Labradoodle, it was love at first sight. They just clicked. Now, the pair is taking over Instagram with their aww-worthy photos.
Sandi Swiridoff adopted Mr. Reagan after her daughter, who hosts foster children, had two kids adopted. She hoped Mr. Reagan would fill the empty nest. Not long after getting the adorable pup, another child arrived, “Little Buddy.” The child is referred to as Little Buddy for privacy reasons.
The two hit it off right away. They were both 11 months when they met and have been together ever since.
Life is like a swing set. Sometimes you just need a little push to get going. ?❤️??

Of the relationship, Swiridoff told ABC News, “When they met, they just clicked and bonded. It looked like love at first sight and they have been best friends ever since.”

Swiridoff’s Instagram page, which is mostly dedicated to Mr. Reagan, now frequently features the two friends, and those pictures have become some of her most popular ones.
However, the mom always tried to hide or obstruct Little Buddy’s face in the photos to ensure his privacy.
“They act like brothers, they will steal each other’s toys and run and chase each other,” Swiridoff told ABC. “When Little Buddy is eating lunch, Reagan will sit by his high chair and Little Buddy will sneak him food. And when Little Buddy is over at my house and I put him down for a nap, Reagan will sit outside the door and wait for him to wake up.”
Swiridoff also said the greater goal was to raise awareness for foster care children.
Patiently waiting for a crumb or two. ?❤️?? #goodthingheisamessyeater

Last Christmas, Swiridoff was able to raise $1,000 by selling calendars of their photos, half of which she donated to an organization that buys Christmas presents for foster kids and the other half went to Foster Parents Night Out, a non-profit that will watch foster children so their caretakers can take a night out.
ABC reports that she is currently working on another calendar for 2017.
