The former Nirvana star took a tumble while performing in Gothenburg and he took an hour-long break to receive medical treatment while drummer Taylor Hawkins filled in on vocals. Grohl later returned to the stage in a wheelchair with his leg in a cast and performed the rest of the show sitting down with the limb raised. The group now appears to have confirmed the seriousness of Grohl’s injury by sharing a snap of an X-ray showing a clear break in the bone.

The picture was uploaded to the band’s Twitter.com page with the caption, “Thank you Gothenburg. That was amazing.”
The accident has sparked fears the rest of the band’s tour, including a headlining slot at Britain’s Glastonbury festival at the end of the month (Jun15), is in jeopardy, but the rockers have yet to announce any plans to scale back their schedule.
They are next due to perform in the Netherlands on Sunday (14Jun15).
