Flowers Bloom From the Sky in Central London
Spring has sprung, flowers are blooming, and London isn’t going to let you forget it.
With 1,200 flowers hanging over St. Christopher’s Place, the city is springing into spring with a flourishing aerial garden installation that consists of lilies, peonies, and delphiniums off of Oxford Street.
Rebecca Louise Law, a talented London-based artist, converted the atmosphere of St. Christopher’s Place into a stunning garden of bliss. With over 17 years of expertise working with fresh materials, Law aims to inspire her audience with the simplicity of nature.
While studying Fine Art at Newcastle University, Law realized her main passion was to artistically link the relationship between mankind and nature. Her lengthy resume includes collaborating with high brands such as Hermes, Cartier, and Gucci.
But Law’s installation wasn’t the only commemoration of spring in London.
St. Christopher Place hosted a garden party for the surrounding shops and businesses on March 17, that featured pop-up flower shops, and 20 percent discount on food and at some participating shops.
From flower-pressing workshops or just sitting back and enjoying the food, London definitely knows how to celebrate spring.
