Felicity Jones Fan Gets Star’s Face Tattooed on Him
Felicity Jones is worried about the devotion of some hardcore Star Wars fans.
The Oscar-nominated actress appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday to talk about her new movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Being part of the huge sci-fi franchise means Jones has a whole new legion of fans, including some who are very devoted to Star Wars.
Host Norton brought up “nerd fans” and their tattoos of the saga’s characters. “Where there are nerd fans, there are nerd tattoos,” he joked.
And Jones, who plays Jyn Erso, an outlaw recruited by the Rebel Alliance to steal the plans for the Galactic Empire’s Death Star, shared a peculiar story about her encounter with a superfan.
“I came across a male who has had the character of Jyn tattooed onto his… calf,” she recalled. However, due to a slight pause in her delivery of the story, the other guests on the show, including Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel, thought she was referring to a more intimate part of the fan’s body.
“Oh, I was really worried for a second,” said Norton, while Jones dissolved into giggles. “I know we’ve got a picture of it, but I don’t think we can show that!”
The talk show host then revealed a photo of the impressive tattoo of the actress’s face, and told the audience, “It’s actually kind of an oddly good likeness for a tattoo.”
“Yeah,” the 33-year-old star agreed. “I’m just worried about what happens when the hair grows back. I’m going to be a bearded lady.”
Meanwhile, Mark Hamill has given his verdict on the new Star Wars movie, after seeing it at a private screening. The star, who plays Luke Skywalker in the sci-fi saga, said the film “grabs you from the first frame.”
The events of Rogue One lead up to the 1977 blockbuster A New Hope, where Luke destroys the Death Star thanks to plans acquired by the heroes of the new spin-off movie.
“Perfect Cast Astonishing Action Non-Stop Thrills Grabs U from the 1st frame & never lets go! Not just a great #SWMovie A #GreatMovie PERIOD!” he tweeted on Friday.
