Sometimes it’s the little details that make all the difference. During a meal at an Olive Garden in Little Rock, Arkansas, one waiter went above and beyond to help out one of his customers.
Dallas French and her baby were enjoying a meal at the chain restaurant when French spilled a bottle of milk on the floor. French’s baby had unfortunately just tested positive for E. Coli and French was dealing with the stress from the whole situation. French began to prepare another bottle when a waiter came over with their food and helped out the mother by feeding her baby.
French was so appreciative for the waiter and his kind gesture. She wrote a post on Facebook to Olive Garden to thank the man for his actions. In the post she wrote:
“I forgot to post this Thursday after all that had happened that day I was really out of it (and probably the lack of sleep this past month) but we went to Olive Garden in little rock after Ellees (sic) tests at Children’s hospital and she was starving and I was trying to make a bottle and spilled it all over me an (sic) the floor and made another bottle and our waiter (wish I knew his name) watched all that had happened and just had brought our salad and bread sticks and said here let me feed her and you eat.. This melted all of us and this is what we need more of! He fed her I ate my salad and bread sticks and that milk on the floor got cleaned up after we left because he just understood! He didn’t even know what we had went through that day and showed us love an (sic) understanding- not irritated that I had made a mess an (sic) my baby was screaming… Gosh I wish I woulda got his name because he deserves the recognition!! And it’s the Olive Garden on Rodney parham (sic) in little rock AR!”
The story was quick to go viral with over 149K likes and 29K shares on Facebook (as of time of publication). The official Olive Garden Facebook page was quick to respond, sharing they would be sure to recognize the waiter.
“We’re so pleased our team was able to help, Dallas,” the company wrote on Facebook. “We will be sure to share these kudos with our Little Rock team so this team member can be recognized! Thanks for sharing this and for dining with us! See you again soon!”
After the post went viral, French was able to find out that the name of the waiter was Rob Davis and was able to give him the credit he deserved.
“I just wanted him to know how much he helped me in more ways than feeding my baby,” French shared with ABC News. “He just stepped in and took care of us. It was just amazing for a stressed-out mom.”
