Sometimes it’s the little things that can make all the difference.
When one mom entered an Enterprise car rental store, she found it difficult to complete the required transaction while holding one of her babies. Coty Vincent, the mother, has twins and a stroller that holds only one child. So, being the good man that he is, employee John Goodlett helped her out by holding one of her babies.
It may seem like not a big task, but for Vincent, it made all the difference.
Truly awe-inspired, Vincent took a photo of Goodlett, who is a twin himself, holding her child and posted about the experience to Facebook.
She writes:
“This is John and he works at Enterprise. He’s also a twin and his twin sister is his best friend. While he helped me with my rental due to a hit and run accident, he held one of my twin sons as I don’t have a double stroller. One of the most compassionate and caring people I’ve ever met. We need more people like John who go that extra step. Be a John. #BeAJohn.”
Her original post went viral and she has since posted several updates about the experience. Vincent heard from corporate executives at Enterprise and said that they have special surprises for both Vincent and Goodlett. Vincent received a double a stroller while Goodlett told KJRH News, “The reward was to give back to the first sports program I got to play for as a kid.”
The post has received over 200,000 likes and nearly 25,000 shares as of press time. The hashtag #BeAJohn is also trending. Hopefully, this will inspire other to #BeAJohn.
