Presidential hopeful Donald Trump announced his choice for vice president via social media Friday afternoon: Mike Pence, Republican Governor of Indiana.
I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate. News conference tomorrow at 11:00 A.M.

Trump initially withheld announcing his running mate due to the attacks in Nice Thursday night, but has opted for revealing the news via Twitter and Facebook and instead will hold a conference about about it Saturday.
Pence sides with Trump on many of the issues, such as stricter boarder control, limiting women’s access to abortions, and supporting easier access to firearms.
According to NBC News, Pence, who was running for re-election as governor, withdrew his candidacy as “Indiana law prohibits an individual from appearing on the ballot for both a state and federal office.”
