Deadly Shooting At Oregon Community College

A gunman opened fire today at Umpqua Community College, a rural school of about 3,000 students near Roseberg, Oregon, killing more than one dozen students and injuring at least 20 more.
According to reports, at least 10 people were killed, with some estimates ranging from 13 to 15 fatalities. Police authorities have confirmed more than 20 additional people were injured.
After initial reports that the gunman had been taken into custody, police have confirmed the 20-year-old gunman was killed in a shootout with law enforcement. Law enforcement has not released the name of the killer at this time.
The gunman’s identity has not been revealed, but several outlets are reporting he may have announced the attack last night on the website 4chan.
Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin confirmed to reporters that police exchanged shots with a gunman in a classroom at the school’s Synder Hall building.
