‘Daredevil’ Star Gets More Than He Bargained for After Asking for Toys for Charity
Daredevil star Charlie Cox recently wanted to engage in some real life hero work by visiting various schools and hospitals. Not content to go empty-handed, the actor contacted Funko (makers of many toy lines, including the wildly popular Pop Vinyls line) and requested some Pop figurines of Daredevil to bring with him. According to the official Marvel Entertainment Twitter account, the company came through beyond Cox’s wildest hopes.
On June 17, Marvel posted a photo of Cox sitting amongst hundreds of boxed Daredevils, with the caption “Charlie Cox asked @OriginalFunko for a couple @Daredevil Pop!s to take to hospitals & schools—here’s what they sent!”

In addition to his charity work, Cox is spending his time off from Daredevil (which is expected but not yet confirmed to have a third season) acting on Broadway and preparing for his role in the upcoming Netflix/Marvel crossover series The Defenders.
In discussing the series, Cox has said, “What we do know is at the end of this year we’re going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome. I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show. I’m very excited to see how those worlds combine, and interested to see tonally how those shows become one.”
