Summer is coming and you know what that means: It’s time to get your bucket-list ready to go! Throw out the typical piece of paper and pen to write down your summer goals. It’s time to get creative.
Track your summer bucket-list with this simple wooden display that can help you cross off each activity in the best way possible.
Supplies you need:
- 15” Half Wooden Crate (2)
- Souvenirs
- Spray Paint
- Wood Glue
- Foam Board
- Scissors
- Miniature Pots
- Coffee Stirrer
- X-acto Knife
- Ruler
- Colored Markers, Pencils
- Fine Liner Pen/Gravel
With one of the crates, apply the wood glue on the crates side then place the second grate on top. It’s best to let the crates sit for at least 2 hours to ensure they will stick together firmly. If you purchased the spray paint, paint the boxes with the spray and let it dry for 30 mins.
While you let the boxes dry, it’s the perfect time to get started on your signposts that will be labeled with each item for your bucket-list. With the ruler and x-acto knife, cut out 0.5 by 1.5 pieces of foam with one side in the shape of a picket. If you’d like to decorate the signposts, get creative and make it your own!
Once you’ve decorated the signs, write your bucket-list item on each one with the liner pen or sharpie. Hot glue to picket onto the coffee stirrer and then cut the stirrer at two inches.
Now it’s time to bring out those cute little pots, fill them with gravel and then hot glue the pot onto the crate. Once you’ve filled each level with five pots, place the signposts into the pots.
Feel free to decorate the pots anyway you’d like with souvenirs, toys, etc.
Let the bucket list check-off festivities begin!
