Concept Art Reveals Potential Lineup For New ‘X-Men’ Spinoff, ‘X-Force’
Like Disney’s Avengers, the world of the X-Men for 20th Century Fox looks to be ever increasing, and the newest spinoff may have been revealed Monday morning.
Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow is reportedly working on a script for 20th Century Fox that will feature a whole new team of mutants within the X-Men universe called X-Force.
Concept art from artist Gregory Semkow shows the team of mutants that would likely be the superhero group, consisting of comic fan-favorite and team leader Cable (the guy with the gun), then from right to left, Warpath, Domino, Cannonball (blasting off into the background, and an unknown female character that may either be Boom-Boom or Feral. All of those characters were in the original comic when it first debuted in the early 1990’s.
The movie tie-in (if it ever gets the greenlight) would feature within the X-Men world of heroes and villains, along with the forthcoming Deadpool movie, starring Ryan Reynolds. There has been speculation that if X-Force is made, Deadpool would feature as the movie’s main adversary.
