Watch out Misty Copeland, there’s a new ballerina in town taking the internet by storm – and he just so happens to be a cat.
Miruko the Japanese cat is obviously an aspiring ballerina, and when his owners discovered this, they began posting pics of Miruko’s best moves to social media.
Miruko is gaining worldwide attention with his stunning and elegant moves. I mean, this is a spin that could rival Olympic figure skaters.
However, Miruko came from humble beginnings. He was rescued by Twitter user Chisa and her husband as a malnourished stray last summer, according to Mashable. Chisa, who lives in the Kagawa Prefecture in Japan, began photographing him for fun. She told Spanish website Verne, that she takes and discards many pictures before getting the right one.

The cat’s Twitter page now has over 40,000 followers, and it’s easy to see why.
今日のミルコ。
飛ぶ前に私の鼻に自分の鼻をくっつけて(鼻チュー)してから飛んだ!まるで「飛ぶから見ててね!」と言ってくれたみたい。 pic.twitter.com/Tb9W6HG3vs— 瀬戸にゃん ちさ?無重力猫ミルコのお家 (@ccchisa76) May 1, 2016
ぴょんぴょん!ぴょんぴょん!

The trick, it seems, is getting Miruko to jump for toys, as is revealed by this YouTube video.
However, we’ll always know him as the cat that was born to dance.
