This might just be the best photo of a quokka yet!
Campbell Jones was traveling through Western Australia’s Rottnest Island with his girlfriend when he managed to capture the perfect shot of a quokka. The picture perfectly demonstrations the animal’s happy-go-lucky attitude and why they are so loved.

So, how did Jones manage to take this one-of-a-kind shot?
“Due to the ‘Quokka Selfie’ trend, we were excited to try and get a photo with them,” Jones told BuzzFeed. “As soon as we hopped off the bikes the quokkas came walking towards us. They are very friendly animals.”
The couple took a few pictures of the adorable animal and then went on their way. However, the little quokka wasn’t ready for his moment in the spotlight to be over.

“As I walked back to my bike, the quokka chased after me,” Jones told Perth Now. “I put down the GoPro and it jumped at me as if to say come ‘come back.’”
Jones then posted the photo of the leaping quokka on Instagram where it quickly went viral.
Many users on Instagram commented on how adorable and happy the image is.
“What an awesome depression curing photo,” one user wrote.
Jones could not believe how quickly the photo took off. He explained to Perth Now that the response to the picture is “quite humbling.”
“It is mind blowing to see how fast people all over the world can see photos,” Campbell Jones told BuzzFeed. “Years ago this wouldn’t have been possible.”
