This note truly brought us to tears.
On Wednesday, Brandon Forseth lost his 24-year-old pregnant girlfriend and the baby she was carrying in a terrible car crash. He expressed his feelings in a beautiful Facebook post that has gone viral.
Forseth’s message had a picture attached – three Christmas stockings labeled “Brandon, “Kylee” and “Baby,” with a sonogram photo lying on top.
“You made me promise not to announce our baby to the world until 20 weeks when we found out the sex. We were going to make a funny announcement video and share it with everyone,” he wrote.
Kylee Bruce was 18 weeks pregnant when she lost control of her vehicle in Redmond, OR while passing on a highway. She crossed into oncoming traffic and struck two other vehicles. The two other drivers were injured, but it was only Bruce that was killed.
Every year, nearly 900 people are killed in vehicle crashes during snowfall or sleet.
“I’ve always been able to fix things and solve problems for people, but I don’t know what to do from here,” Forseth wrote. “I feel helpless.”
And Forseth closed the tear-jerking post with, “Merry Christmas sugar, I promise not to open my gifts until Christmas morning.”
Aside from condolences and prayers, help is on the way and can be given to the GoFundMe established to cover the funeral expenses. It has raised over $20,000 so far – a tremendous feat most likely accomplished by the massive attention of his Facebook post, which received nearly 300,000 shares.
