Since it’s July release, Pokémon Go! has re-launched the classic 90’s franchise into the pop culture stratosphere. There has been renewed interest in the characters and merchandise of all kinds. A restaurant in Australia has taken things a step further however, introducing Pokémon-influenced burgers to their pop-up location.
As seen in the video above, the downtown Sydney location known as D#wn N’ Out burger has found an inventive way to replicate Pokémon Go!’s distinct gameplay. Each day, the restaurant will produce burgers shaped like different Pokémon characters, each with unique toppings and decorative elements. Customers lucky enough to get to the front of line are given a random order to mimic the random nature of the game.

According to the restaurant’s Instagram page, the Pokemon burgers, Pokeburgs as they are called, were initially only available for a limited time. However, after word got out and customers were lining up by the hundreds, the burgers quickly sold out. Subsequent posts revealed that because of the popularity of the burgers, the restaurant decided to open Mondays and boosted their Pokeburg daily output.

While it’s unclear if these burgers will be around for long, there’s still a chance you can stop in to D#wn N’Out burger to catch’em all.
