This may be the year of the monkey, but it is also the year of kittens!
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) has had a record-breaking year at their Kitten Nursery with the amount of adoptions.
The 2016 season, which ended November 8, featured 1,743 kittens adopted – a 14 percent increase from the previous 2015 season – and the Adoption Center is celebrating, thankful of their staff and volunteers for their incredible, successful efforts.
“It’s not just a number,” said Lourdes Bravo, senior manager of the Kitten Nursery. “It also represents the contribution of our dedicated staff and volunteers, and the impact their work had on the lives of these vulnerable animals.”
