A swarm of bees flocked in a tree nearby a mural dedicated to Muhammad Ali over the weekend giving an unexpected and ironic tribute to the late boxer.
Around 15,000 bees swarmed a tree in Louisville, Kentucky next to a mural of Ali’s famous quote – “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.”

Beekeeper Kevin McKinney shared he had never seen a swarm of that size gather near the mural.
“It was a very big swarm,” he shared. “The irony is not lost on me at all.”
While some say the swarm was a coincidence, other observers believe it was a sign.
“What I noticed, when the bees came through it was more of a calmness. It was like they wasn’t trying to bite you, you know what I’m saying,” onlooker Jon Rosette shared. “They were just trying to get a message across.”
The quote comes from the famous fight, “The Rumble in the Jungle,” between Ali and George Foreman.
“You think the world was shocked when Nixon resigned?” Ali says in the video above. “Wait ‘til I whup George Foreman’s behind. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.”
Ali passed away over the weekend after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 74-years-old.
